I know it’s January, but the weather here says spring! We haven’t had much of a winter. I’m not complaining though. I like it because I can wear my linen.

We are in the process of spring cleaning the website. You have probably noticed new styles and colors. We’ll be ordering more in February and have other changes planned, so check back often.

We went to market today!

I took some pictures of the new Match Point showroom and got some swatches of the new linen colors – off-white, taupe, apricot, and shamrock. I love the off-white and taupe. Apricot looks like a muted coral. Shamrock! Wow, it’s a true green.

Over the next few weeks shipments will begin to arrive. Where am I going to find a place to put everything!?

I ordered some of my favorite styles, and some new styles as well. Three styles new to Lori’s Lovelies are the cropped ruffle pants, longer wide leg pants, and cropped cha cha pants.

As for tops, there is a new tunic with pockets and a cardigan-like shirt with ruffles that ties in the front. And more LT10Vs – which y’all know is my very favorite shirt. I got lots of colors- so you are going to have a good time choosing your favorites!

I just know that y’all are going to love everything! Check back often because we will be receiving new shipments.

Dallas Market is this weekend, and I’m so excited!

Each morning, I find great pleasure in choosing what to wear.

This hasn’t always been the case.

When you are standing in a packed closet feeling that you have nothing to wear, it’s time for a change.

A few years ago, I realized that quality is definitely better than quantity.  I was frustrated. Even though I had plenty of “stuff” to wear, I only wore the three or four outfits that I felt good in and that I truly loved.  The rest just hung there; a waste of space, a waste of money.

So piece by piece, I slowly acquired a wardrobe that was easy to take care of – clothing that felt good, clothing that I felt represented me, clothing that had one thing in common:  they were made of linen.

Thankfully, my husband is a good sport.  He would accompany me to Dallas and/or Shreveport on my linen expeditions each season.  This went on for several years, and both of us began to tire of the drive and traffic.  We wondered to what lengths other people had to go to get their linen.

That’s when we decided to sell Match Point linen clothing. I get to choose styles and colors.  I choose prices.  Everything I buy for Lori’s Lovelies is something that I personally would wear, and do wear.

Now, I stand in my closet, and the hardest decision is “what color?”

We’ve heard from so many of you over the last several months telling us how much you love Match Point clothing and how glad you are to have found our website. We’ve met so many wonderful people that we thought it would be fun to have you all meet each other. So, we’ve added a blog and a forum to our site so that everyone can get together and talk about whatever you want to talk about. You might like talking about your favorite outfit or have some great ideas as to what pieces go well together. We think it will be fun to have a community of people that all share the same love of linen clothing that we do.
