Match Point Lightweight 3.5 oz Linen Pullover Pockets Poncho Tunic HLT430
Feedback from all the Lovely Ladies: size down! Runs big!
This is a brand new style for Spring/Summer 2017, and I admit I was reluctant to order it at market. I just received the white and mist (light gray), slipped one on....and OHHHHHH MYYY! :)
This is Match Point's official description: Round neck kimono style top with front pockets. I'm not sure where they are getting "kimono style" from, but I really love this style!
The tunic is so versatile. I can envision it worn with pretty much all types of pants - leggings, jeans, regular fitting pants, and even long flowing palazzo pants (if you are taller - I'm 5'2 and I think it'd be too much fabric on me) I can also see this style as a layering piece on top of dresses and form-fitting long sleeve tops....and even as a bathing suit coverup.
It has a round neck, generous 9 inch side slits, and neat-o pockets for all your goodies. How much sleeve there is is going to vary from person to person. The tunic looks sleeveless when laying flat, however, when on, the shoulder area will form a little cap sleeve - or even perhaps hang a little longer on you. It is more like a cap sleeve on me, but I have larger than average shoulders and upper arms. My mom has narrow shoulders, so I'm thinking that the "sleeve" will hit her mid upper arm.
Since the top is light weight linen, I recommend a flesh colored bra if you purchase a light color like the white or mist. However, if you are wearing it more as a layering piece, or if you purchase a darker color, then all will be fine. The lightweight linen is a Godsend during the heat though and is a good choice for this top to keep the fabric flowy.
At about 32 inches long (this can vary a little), it is long enough for booty coverage.
When you lay the tunic flat, it is basically rectangular - kind of what I think of as poncho shaped. I know these measurements seem huge, but for the top to flow and be comfortable, you want the measurements this way. The Natural fabric is running much LARGER than the other colors by about 3 or 4 inches, so you may want to size down in that color. When you measure across the top, right under the underarm holes and then multiply that number by 2, a small measures about 62 inches around, a medium about 64 inches around, a large about 66 inches, and an extra large about 68 inches.
